We provide a system that can either replace your existing email server,
or act as a shield in front of it. If you have multiple email servers,
or other special considerations, let us know.
Without any special instructions, spamSTOMPER will challenge every email your site receives. If you want to tell spamSTOMPER about the email addresses or companies you do business with that it should consider "friendly"s, that's your option, and it won't challenge their incoming email. You can also define "nuisance" addresses or domain names that definitely get their email deleted as soon as it hits your site. spamSTOMPER intercepts all email to your site, and tests each against "friendly" and "nuisance" lists that you create initially, and then allow the system to maintain them thereafter at your option. Each of your email users can have their own "friendly" and "nuisance" lists. The "friendly" list, as the name implies, is the list of business associates, friends, relatives, etc. The "nuisance" list is just the opposite; email addresses or whole domains that you want to make disappear.
If it matches an item in the recipients "nuisance" list it is trashed, and your employee never even sees it. If it can't be found in either list, the email is parked in a holding area and spamSTOMPER sends its own email back to the sender challenging them to respond. The first two cases are obvious. The challenge mechanism is what limits your ongoing maintenance, and is the key to successfully reducing to near zero the amount of SPAM that can bother your employees. spamSTOMPER's challenge email simply requests the sender to confirm that the original email is to be delivered. If the sender confirms the original email, it is delivered to the recipient, and at your option becomes a member of the "friendly" list. If the sender doesn't confirm it, the original email is trashed. "That can't stop SPAM" is probably what you're thinking. Yes it can, and here's how! |
